Movie S3. Tracking of a single coral cilium during a full beating cycle. The cilium was manually tracked in each frame using an in-house image analysis software written in Matlab (The MathWorks). The video was captured by phase-contrast microscopy using a 100× objective at 500 frames per second and is played back 86 times slower than real time.
