Movie S2.

Movie of the bead-attached bending experiment. An anti-PC1 antibody-coated 1.5-μm-diameter silica sphere was held in an optical trap and attached to a cilium. The resulting construct was then bent back and forth parallel to the cell sheet, with a sinusoidal driving signal of 0.5 Hz. This movie was taken at a 25-Hz frame rate.
