The still image of cotransfected GFP is coded in blue, micropatterns are delineated by white dashed circles, and photoconverted Ncad-mEos2 molecules appear as red spots. Note that Ncad-mEos2 molecules exhibiting free diffusion make transient arrests on the micropatterns, revealing homophilic N-cadherin interactions.
