This movie demonstrates the main result of the position task in experiment 1, i.e., the well-known motion-induced position shift phenomenon (MIPS) (1). The two objects presented on the left and right side of central fixation are located at the same height. However, perceived positions of both objects are shifted in the direction of the pattern motion within each object (Fig. 2D).
