Fabrication of hydrogel-laden paper scaffold. PSMa-coated papers were further modified with PLL and calcium chloride. Surface-modified paper was placed in alginate solution for gelation. Alginate solution was prepared with 1% (wt/vol) alginate and blue food-coloring agents for verification.
