DAT, internalized by AMPH, fails to colocalize with clathrin. SK-N-SH cells were cotransfected with GFP-DAT and clathrin light chain-mRed fusion proteins, and imaged (3 fm/min) with TIRF microscopy. Addition of 10 μM AMPH causes DAT to internalize. Internalizing puncta fail to colocalize with clathrin.
