3D surface rendering of confocal Z-stacks of the SNCA−/− neuron shown in Fig. 1A. The 3D rendering establishes the intracellular nature of hα-Syn inclusions and reveals their close association with nuclear and cytoplasmic membranes. hα-Syn staining is shown in green, β3 tubulin staining (performed to reveal neurons) is shown in red, and nuclear staining (DAPI) is shown in blue. The surface rendering of hα-Syn staining and DAPI was performed using Imaris software.
