Video of Maurer’s cleft movement in a trophozoite-infected RBC. RBCs infected with trophozoite stage parasites (3D7 strain) were labeled with the membrane probe BODIPY-ceramide and subjected to live-cell imaging. Immobilized punctate membrane-bound structures are observed at the host RBC membrane.
