Movie S10.

MT sliding occurs in neurons in vivo and is dependent on the C-terminal MT-binding site of kinesin-1. Representative time-lapse movies of control and KhcmutA sensory neurons expressing neurA101 > tdMaple3-tubulin 20–22 h after puparium formation. MTs were photoconverted in the proximal axons and imaged for 20 min. The movie repeats with the initial converted zone outlined in yellow. Note that MTs slide robustly out of the initial converted zone in the control sensory neuron. The KhcmutA sensory neuron displays much less MT sliding. (Scale bar, 5 μm.)
