CD115+ patrolling monocytes are located next to CCN1 hot spots in the luminal side of mesenteric veins. The 3D reconstruction of mouse mesenteric veins was obtained by confocal intravital microscopy. The i.v. injection of AF647-conjugated anti-PECAM1 (CD31, 10 μg) and AF594-conjugated anti-CD115 (1 μg) stained the endothelium blue and monocytes red. Luminal CCN1 presence (green) was assessed after injection of protein A-coupled YFP beads conjugated with a nonblocking antibody to CCN1. The small tick bar indicates 2 μm. (See Fig. 1.)
