Positive control for detection of vasculature death. Shown is a 3D reconstruction of mouse mesenteric veins obtained by confocal intravital microscopy. Fifteen minutes after local stimulation of mesenteric vessels with H2O2 (100 µL; stock 30%), nuclei of dead cells (blue) and the luminal side of the endothelium (green) were detected by i.v. injection of Sytox Blue (10 μL, stock 5 mM) and AF488-conjugated anti-PECAM1 (CD31, 10 μg), respectively. Massive endothelial cell death was observed. The small tick bar indicates 4 μm.
