Whole-mount 3D imaging of CD31-immunostained blood vessels in a wild-type embryo at E10.5. Rotation is around the cranial (image top)-to-caudal axis. The dorsal aorta (DA) is visualized as well as intersomitic vessels originating from the DA branching toward the somites. A web of smaller vessels can be identified in and around the somites.
