Laminin controls the polarization of aggregates and planarization of fused aggregates. Aggregates form a coarse surface border rather than a concentric layered ball after a laminin-binding inhibitor treatment. Coalesced aggregates cannot fuse to form a larger plane when laminin activity is blocked.
