The effect of different types of inhibition on dendritic plateau potential. First, two unitary dendritic fast inhibitions (Den fast GABA) were activated at the same dendritic compartment, where the dendritic plateau was induced, with a delay of 45 ms. Second, two unitary dendritic slow IPSCs (Den slow GABA) were activated at the plateau site. Third, perisomatic inhibition (20 FS GABA independent Poisson train at 30 Hz for 200 ms) was activated right after the induced plateaus. Magnification identical to Fig. 1D.
