Animation of a 100 ns-long trajectory from CG-MD simulation of two liposomes made of DMPC. Each liposome containing 1,512 DMPC molecules was prepared by a spontaneous transformation from a random aggregate in aqueous solution. An external pulling force was applied to keep two liposomes in contact in the first 40 ns, and then it was removed. No sign of fusion event was detected during the simulation, and the two liposomes move apart after removing the extenal force (41).
