Structural changes between the DNA synthesis and RNA hydrolysis mode of HIV-1 RT. The RNA-dependent DNA synthesis mode is represented by 4PQU (12), and the RNA hydrolysis mode is represented by crystal 1 (PDB ID code 6BSH). The color scheme is the same as in Movie S2. The p51-p66 interface is changed from the fingers to RNase H domains of p66, particularly in regions highlighted in purple, forest green, and orange.
