Representative 3D reconstruction video of Au NRs adsorbed on α-synuclein fibers showing a double-helix arrangement. Cryo-TEM was used to investigate the arrangement of Au NRs on protein fibrils. Details on sample preparation are provided in SI Appendix. Bright-field TEM images were acquired using an FEI Tecnai Spirit TEM operated at 120 kV. A series of 2D projections was acquired while tilting the specimen from −60° to +60°, with an increment of 2°. After alignment, the tilt series was used as an input for 3D reconstruction using the weighted back projection algorithm.
