Representative movie of mixed populations of NRVMs expressing the FRET-based PKA phosphorylation-sensitive sensor AKAR4 or its mitochondrial targeted version OMM-AKAR4. Cells were treated with increasing doses of Fsk (20 nM; 200 nM; 2 μM). Final treatment with Fsk 20μM combined to IBMX 100 μM saturated both sensors. Scale: Cold shades (low PKA-dependent phosphorylation) hot shades (high PKA-dependent phosphorylation).
