Robustness tests of biomimetic materials. This movie includes two parts: 1, the test using a buckling device; 2, liquid droplets bouncing on the biomimetic materials during the 10⁵-times buckling. The surface-engineered polymer membrane nicely maintained the repellence to water after 10⁵-times of buckling tests.
