Cryo-EM structure of Pf4 with ssDNA at 3.2 Å resolution (related to Fig. 1) The 3.2 Å resolution structure of Pf4 with ssDNA. Cryo-EM density (grey isosurface) and refined atomic coordinates of Pf4 CoaB subunits (ribbon diagrams) are shown. Structure shows the interdigitated arrangement of CoaB α-helices in the phage capsid. Cross-section through the structure reveals that the Pf4 DNA genome is linear and single-stranded (ssDNA). At the end of the video, the cryo-EM density is shown B-factor dampened (positive B-factor of 50 Å2 applied) to show the fit of the ssDNA built into the density as poly-adenines.
