HS-AFM images of a mixture of CfCel6B and TrCel7A moving on crystalline cellulose III_I. The green arrow indicates the moving direction of CfCel6B molecules (left to right). The blue arrow indicates the moving direction of TrCel7A molecules (right to left). A TrCel7A molecule that became the cause of a “traffic jam” after colliding with CfCel6B molecules (20 seconds after the movie started) is shown. Forty-eight seconds later, the traffic jam was resolved (68 seconds after the start of the movie). The scan area was 254 × 75 nm (153 × 45 pixels). The scan-rate was 0.3 sec frame^-1 and the movies are sped-up 3× times (0.9 sec frame^-1). Total time is 75 seconds. Scale bar and height lookup table of the images are shown in Figure 2D.
