Inhibition of polarization of PGCs in response to the chemoattractant Cxcl12a by preventing the formation of the front. Time-lapse movies of PGCs injected with the dominant-negative form of Rac1 (DN-Rac1) in the presence of Cxcl12a chemokine gradient (indicated in red below the movies). Lifeact (magenta) labels the cell front and the rear markers (Ezrin, Esyt2a and MTs) are in green. The movies show the same cells presented in Fig. 5a. Frame interval is 10 sec.
