Movie S5.

Time-lapse fluorescence microscopy corresponding to the membrane curvature induced by RNCL-based membrane remodeling. An aqueous buffer solution of 3 GUVs (380 μM) containing 0.1 mol % of Bodipy FL DHPE dye was added to another aqueous solution of cysteine-functionalized lysolipid 15 (380 μM) in the presence of DTT (2.6 mM), leading to the formation of GUVs composed of phospholipid 16. After 2 h of reaction, amphiphysin-His (728 μM; final concentration: 72.8 μM) was added, observing dramatic membrane curvature events as a result of the protein binding. Sequential fluorescence images were taken over a period of 15 min. Frames are 30 s apart. Movie frame rate is 5 fps. (Scale bar, 10 μm.)
