Proboscis Feeding Assay Video. This video, demonstrates how the observers counted the sip number for the Proboscis Feeding Assay used to validate the qPCR-consumption assay. By counting the oscillations of the cibarial pump the number of sips taken by the fly can be determined. Counts were performed by two observers (blind) and repeated twice for each oligomer and the results averaged.
