Movie S1.

Demonstration of a trial sequence. Rotate your head approximately 35° to the left and fixate the central fixation “bull’s eye” with the left eye closed. The head rotation should prevent you from performing eye movements to the right distal target. Start the movie while keeping eyes steady. As soon as a circular white cue appears, try to saccade towards it. Try to discriminate the orientation of the discrimination target (DT), an oriented noise patch, presented before eye movement onset at any of the four locations. The cue and the DT in this movie are displayed outside the oculomotor range (Cue +10°; DT@+10°, tilt counterclockwise).

Visual attention is not limited to the oculomotor range
