Granule mobility and exocytoses in continuously perifused mouse beta-cells. Single mouse beta-cells labelled with hIns-EGFP were perifused with HEPES-buffered Krebs-Ringer medium containing 5 mM glucose at 32°C. This sequence of 200 images shows exocytotic events, characterized by the sudden increase in fluorescence of a single insulin granule, accompanied by the spreading cloud of fluorescence.
